    Food

It is a species that feeds on algae and debris from the fish tank. They do not interfere and do not harm the aquarium plants. They consume food scraps, plants and dead animals.

    Temperament / Behavior

They are peaceful animals and will swim throughout the aquarium in search of food. Physa snails are pulmonary, meaning they need to return to the surface from time to time to breathe air.

To reach the surface, this snail uses various techniques, such as using plants or another object to get there, or performing what we call “spinning”, where the snail releases a stream of mucus into the water, which runs through the entire column water until it on the surface. The snail will climb this invisible fillet, looking like it is walking in the middle of the water.

    Reproduction

They are hermaphrodites, capable of self-fertilization. They usually deposit their eggs in a gelatinous mass, usually attached to the substrate, aquarium glass or plants. These eggs hatch in up to 5 days, generating small snails.

    Fish Tank Size

The fish tank needs to be at least 15 liters.
